Thanos, in Infinity War, is a pretty interesting guy. He's a villain, but it's difficult to dislike him, right? Also he changes outfits a couple of times in the film, which I'm pretty sure is a continuity fault because his head also changes ever so slighty when this happens, so finding reference material was interesting and momentarily a bit confusing :)
So here he is. Thanos. Infinity War version. No arms, no Infinity Gauntlet, no fingers to snap. You should be reasonably safe putting this guy up on your shelf, should you choose to do so :)
(Turns out I'm a Xerox machine after all!)
This is fan art, provided for free, and I fully acknowledge the Thanos likeness is the property of Marvel Entertainment, LLC (The Walt Disney Company).
I printed this on my CR-10S using some PLA (from 3DNet, no affiliation), and the following settings:
Layer height: 0.12mm
Nozzle: 0.4mm
Perimeter: 0.8mm
Speed: 60mm/s (but S3D slows it down mostly)
Top/bottom # layers: 6
Infill: 5% rectilinear
Print time: 26:56 hours
As with Captain America I didn't need to use any supports priting this one, but I have a Petsfang on my CR-10S which helps with overhangs, so you might want to set some supports right underneth his belly because that overhang angle is quite steep, but if you know your machine does overhangs well, go for it!
Best of luck, printer person!

Creality Ender-3 0.2mm nozzle @ 0.08mm layers Scaled to 50%
At 15nm, 60m/s and 60% scale it came out nice. Just some issues with overhangs, corners and moire.
Simply amazing ! Great job ! I tried to print it without support, but I had poor quality on the bottom... can you give me some advice?
This is my biggest item in print time and painting/finishing time. Print with resolution of 0.125 with 10% infill, I used support for the left ear, under the neath and for the neck with 60mm/s of speed. The print came out awesome after 38 hours of printing! The sanding process with this resolution was so simple, after primer filler I started to paint with spray and then adding sking tones with brushes and subtle details (such the drop of blood made by IronMan), painting the eyeswas the most difficult challenge for me, over 1 hour and half but I think they came out great. Thank you so much for this Design David. Hope the community appriaced my finish version. You can follow me on instagram for all the process. Thank you
I added in the community Prints many photos of my version painted and original print but I want to thank you here in comments for this design. My favourite item of my collection. Awesome. I used manual supports in some points to not risk the over 38 hours of print ^_^ .
Printed on a Qidi X-One2
Thanks for creating this model! I enjoyed printing and painting it.
Printed in Bronzefill and then post processed.
Here is the final painted version. I tried the rub and buff and it didn't come out right for me so I went and redid it in a pewter look.

here is an update on the first piece Edit: 18 hours later and the back of the head is finished.

Awesome model, 20 hour print. Too bad Ender 3 started under extruding at the end (in the middle of the night) and poor Thanos got a really brittle skull.

Excellent model. Scaled to 150mm height PLA 0.4 nozzle 0.1 layer height
Next one I will have to try smaller layers and a touch of sanding. I ran this one at 0.24 to see if I could hide the layers under lots of paint coats lol...Pretty proud of it considering it's my first go at this technique. I think it could have gone a lot worse lol.

Lo que más me a costado es pintar los ojos pero contento con el resultado, un busto increíble muchas gracias por el stl
Very nice model... Great detail :) Airbrushed and painted - was one of my first attempts, happy with it except for the eyes. He looks like he has had too much caffine lol..

Realized afterwards that I didn't get the color scheme correct as I wasn't using a reference image. I don't mind one bit as I was having a blast painting all that gold.

Hi ! I would like to thank you for this incredible model ! And also share my experience. Overall it looks really good I’m truly happy how this thanos turns out, I used support for this one , a saw a lot of comments saying that they didn’t used support but as it is a “big” project I didn’t wanted to risk it all . I made it with my ender 3 pro and cura 4.5 •infill 5% •quality 0.12mm •wall thickness 1mm This are the settings I used but I would definitely change it for my next project as this one turns out too light and you can see through it.
