Description
Amazing sculpt! Great model to print because they have designed it so it doesn't need supports if you're printing in pieces. The only issue I had was the snaps... Printed at scale, even the smaller version, they were too big. I scaled down by a few tenths of a mm and they were still too large. Accidentally broke off a piece of the snap in her hat. Realized I could use a heat gun and an x-acto blade to get some pieces to fit. The needles were also difficult to insert without scaling down and using the x-acto blade. Other than that, it's really an amazing and fun print. I would just keep the fit issues in mind if/when I go to print another. I used Fillamentum Wizard's Voodoo PLA Extrafill and 0.40mm diameter nozzle with 0.20mm Z layer height/resolution. 10% infill. 215C. Printer is a Prusa i3 MK3S kit. I would love to try making her again in ABS so I can vapor smooth the lines and air brush paint her. Maybe I will try this soon but in a smaller size. Total print time for all pieces was well over a day but so worth it! Thank you for the amazing model and for all the trial iterations you two went through to get it to be a 'quality' file for the community. :) I know it's a lot of work! Also I am a ZBrush newbie myself and I know how challenging it can be to use the program, but you are very skilled! The little details are so fantastic! I will try to take some better photos in natural outdoor light soon to better show off the sparkly element of the PLA. ;) Cheers! -Kate
