Talon Class Sky Coach in red.
Ship name - Lil skipper Rassen Class Assault Frigate Flies like a butterfly stings like a bee
Talon Skyskiff without Cabin; additional decorations including shields, ropes, and captains wheel.
Behold The Tressym (named in honour of a flying cat called Turnip) I will be using this as the airship from the campaign module Storm Kings Thunder. My players haven't encountered this yet as we haven't played since lockdown. This was a great lockdown project for me. I thought I was mad doing this all on my little Elgoo Mars but the files are so well cut that I manged with very few failures. What I like most about the Shoal class is the detailed interiors. I have created a little kitchen for the Halfling who loves cooking, a forge for my forge domain cleric player and a bespoke cabin for each of my players (Well three of them are bunking up but they are best friends so that's ok!)
Shoal Class Trade Barge printed mostly on my Ender 3 Pro (all stock) using Esun PLA+, and the smaller bits done in my Anycubic Photon S with Anycubig Grey Resin. 1st big print took just over a month to print get with some learning along the way :D amazing fun to do. Painted with Army painter Paints by myself over a few nights and photos all taken by me.
Ghost Merchant ship A very rare to find trader ship, it appears at random, in all locations in Sordane, very hard to find, but it has the most legendary treasures . while the ship seems like an old rust bucket about to fall from the sky, it is as immortal as the ghosts whose souls are bound to it
The snow lantern. (I added a lantern with jewlery making supplies to the front)
The Feather Class Skycoach. Hull printed on my ender 3 pro using Esun pla+ and the wings/fins/Cabin and nose bits printed on Anycubic Photon S. The hull was printed in 4 parts at 1.6mm layer heights taking about a day perpart of the hull. And the extras were done over 2 days in my resin printer. painted using Armypainter, and photos done by me with my phone.
Talon Class Skycoach from Skies of Sordane by Arcane Minis
Feather Class Skycoach printed on Elegoo Mars. Printed the front hulls in a red transparent to allow for an LED to omit a red glow from the front and side windows. Amazing print to work with. Hand painted to the best of my abilities.
Bashir Khan, Captain of the "Desert Rose" and his friends on the Way back home after a successful raid in the Desert ghost Town
Talon Class Skycoach by Diona de Jager
The Zephyr is the first of a new class of super-fast light cruisers in the Imperial fleet. Before it could be unveiled, however, it's existance came to the knowledge of of a rather daring band of sky pirates. Early in the morning, as the Zephyr was being readied for its maiden voyage, the sky pirates wrested control of the helm and sped away, seveval guards in tow. In an attempt to escape the Pirate Captain pushed the Big Red Button™, lurching the ship forward and thundering across the skies at great speed. The occupants of the ship could barely stay on deck. One didn't.
Sculpted the mouth bits, and the eyelids out of plumbers epoxy, to turn this ship into a massive Mimic. Used a Dremel to dig a few holes into the wings to make it look a little more worn. I wasn't sure if modifications were allowed, but assumed it would be fine as long as they were things your other backers could get excited to recreate themselves.
Talon Class Skycoach printed on a Anycubic Mega Zero in PLA. Painted using a mix of Acrylic and Oils with two cute little crewmates making sure everything is shipshape.
Talon Class Skycoach - The Red Corsair
This is the first model that I have painted in about 18 years. Main part of the ship is printed on Ender 3v2 (PLA) with the sails resin printed on Anycubic Photon S. While its not the best paint job that I have done, I do like the details in the sails and engine areas.
The Twilight Star printed in resin. The ship hull was painted to look like the sky as the sun sets. This was a fun and challenging piece that took about 4 weeks to complete.
The "Wind Runner", piloted by the gnome artificer Talia Tipsendale, taking two passengers (and no questions asked) to Sharn, the City of Towers. Talon-class Skycoach painted with Citadel airbrush paints and detailed with Citadel base and layer colors. Miniatures by Reaper Mini, all painted by me.
Printed on Felix Pro 2 printer, different layer heights. White PLA, painted with paints from Citadel and Army Painter. Photos taken near Nieuwkerksedijk in Goirle, Netherlands
The Catastrophe set sail, recently purchased (as-is, at a bargain price) by a merry band of adventurers tasked with rescuing metallic dragon eggs from kobolds on a mountain. They arrived witout being noticed and began loading the eggs onto the deck (after loading the bountiful treasure, of course) when two of the eggs hatched, releasing hungry shrieks that echoed throughout the mountains! Soon after, a drowning out those cries for food came a roar from above. The sudden silence from the newly hatched cuties and the shocked-still crew was broken by the beating of huge wings. An evil Wyrmling descended upon the ship, circling around to terrorize the crew and send them into a panic. It began thrashing at the ship and the beings aboard. The ship was built well, however, and even the beast's ability to rend whole sections off couldn't bring the magnificent ship down! Do the adventurers defeat the beast, or does the beast continue its destructive rampage? Find out next time! The Catastrophe is a LCD resin printed Rassen Class Assault Frigate printed on a Creality LD-002R LCD Resin 3D Printer. It was painted with a mixture of spray paint and Formula P3 model paint.

The Gleaming Shard is an impressive luxury yacht with beautiful gold trim and details. The ship has its own tavern and inn on the second level with a balcony overlooking the glass lookout below. The ship is attacked by a young black dragon and everyone rushes to the top deck to defend the ship! Afterwards there is a celebration in the tavern and a couple admires the night sky from the bow. But everyone knows that a young dragon doesn't stray far from Mama.....
The Shoal Trade Barge is a nice starter ship with multiple propulsion options. This particular ship uses a fire elemental ring to stream through the cold air. Although it is not intended to be a war ship, it has two cannons for protection from pirates determined to plunder the goods of the Merchant Guild.
Feather Class Skycoach "Cirrus" flagged out of Kaport Bay. This took 23 days for the ship, and another 3 for the three figures. Reaper MSP paints all around, Dugato nylon brushes, and a 5x magnifier LED light.
Feather Class Skycoach print with creality ld 002h and water washable resin from elegoo. Figures from arcane minis. Add on are resin print or scratch built parts. Paint with airbrush and handpaint.
Good evening, Here's my submission to the contest, with the ''showcase'' one being the one named ''NCP_01''. I've decided to print this Feather Class Skycoach for I loved its silhouette and the big domes below made me think of some sort of containers, plus the green resing it was printed with, gave it a most interesting look that I decided to iterate on. So this Skycoach became the Stormchaser, a small, nimble, and most durable skiff modified to capture the raw aetherial energy that builds up into lightning storms and use it as fuel, just as well as goods to sell. Since it always chases after storms, it constantly gets hit by the rain and the dust it transports, thus griming down the hull and causing moss or algae-like growth to build upon the fins and eventually discolor them permanently. I've tried to make it look like the Stormchaser's just popped out of a cloud, catching some daylight after a very dark adventure in the cloud. Maybe it has reached the eye of the hurricane? Who knows! Yet, its nimbleness allows it to glide onto the wind currents and avoid the worst possible outcomes. Lastly, I've decided to add some light in a few places in order to enhance the whole ''lightning capture'' effect and visual, although I would've liked to find a way to make the lightning in the back pop out some more. Oh, and having curious cats caused it to fall no less than 5 times... shattering the fins over and over again, much to my dismay. I still really like the result and hope you'll enjoy it just as much and I enjoyed painting it! :D
Feather Class Sky Coach Creality Ender 2 - Main body and stand Anycubic Photon - Ship parts and minis
Talon Class Skycoach from Arcane Minis printed on an Anycubic Photon S with Elegoo 405nm standard beige photopolymer resin for the airship itself and Siraya Tech clear v2 resin printed on an Anycubic Mono X for the accompanying flight stand.
A Rassen Class Assault Frigate Printed on a combination of Sidewinder X1 (big parts) and Elegoo Mars (small parts like some railings and scatter terrain). I did not want to go for anything crazy as far as color scheme goes since this is gonna serve as a base for an adventuring group a future campaign.
The owner of this airship favor speed and maneuverability to weapons.
Sintel Cruiser: the "Fly By Night" Some small remixes included - the ships figurehead and top sails.
Shoal Trade Barge, the "Firebrand"
Talon Sky Coach: "Teal Blaze"
The Radagast's Revenge, A Rassen Class Assault Frigate, sails through the skies during a pink hued sunrise in its quest to capture and kill The Violet Nightmare, Scourge of the Skies. A vicious purple Noklura who attacked and destroyed Captain Twist's ship and family when she was a child. Now, on a quest for revenge, the pale Kizaru Twist will stop at nothing to destroy The Violet Nightmare and will absolutely risk her crew and her ship in a fight that has become a deadly obsession. Ship: Rassen Assault Frigate Additional models: Arcane minis, Skytrex, Vae Victis Miniatures
D&D Party gets attacked on their Airship by a young white Dragon and a bunch of Orcs.
To make this boat I have used my two Anycubic printers, the anycubic photon S, for the resin parts and the Mega X for the large PLA parts. Also thank my friend the photographer, Carlos Marcial for these incredible photos, and Marc, Jordi and Pau, for holding the ceiling that make up the sky.
To make this boat I used my two printers, Anycubic Mega X, for the large PLA pieces and the Anycubic Photon S for the resin ones. Thank my friend the photographer, Carlos Marcial for these incredible photos, and Marc, Jordi and Pau, for holding the ceiling that make up the sky.
The Gray Ghost: the personal adventure-craft of Captain Hans Drinkman. Always available to hire - but you'll need your own insurance. (There's a hold up with the paperwork you see...) Hans and the Ghost have seen better days but despite multiple bankruptcies, the death of several valets, a serious drinking problem, and a general lack of regard for personal safety, both Hans and the Gray Ghost continue to sail the skies! Hull and nose printed on an Ender 3 V2 - everything else on a Phrozen Sonic Mini 4k.
The Royal League of Artificers hired the adventurous crew of the Nomads Rose to gather a Roc egg for study. For the league sought to study one from hatchling to adult, as to craft a mechanimal Roc. The crew thought luck was with them with them when they found an unguarded Roc nest. Soon the crew will learn that luck has flipped, as mama Roc has come for her eggs. - Airship printed on Prusa MK3 - Minis printed on Phrozen Sonic
Talon Class Skycoach printed on my Ender 3 Pro
Some Goblin pirates got their hands on a Feather Class Skycoach! Who knows how much longer this thing will be in the air for... This Feather Class Skycoach was printed on regular Elegoo Mars printer. I had to print in many pieces but they each fit (just barely!) and then glued them together, using milliput to fill gaps. The cockpit and door are removeable to allow for more space and to put minis in. This was my first time ever printing and painting something this big but it was a lot of fun!
Wanted to try some metallics and go for a steampunk look. Can't wait to use it in our campaign!
My version of the Geshtar Class Dreadnought! It took me 3 months and 2 printers to build and paint this beast! I am dropping a video this weekend of the whole build project on my YT channel WeGeekTogether.
https://youtu.be/pg0umB-_kSE I chose the Feather Class Skycoach as my entry for the print and paint competition hosted by Arcane Minis & MyMiniFactory. I wanted my entry to be a little different by adding it to my aquarium, with the thought that the airship took an unexpected nose dive underwater and had to navigate its way through the aquatic life! If you would like to see a video of my process of the print from start to finish please check out: https://youtu.be/pg0umB-_kSE In total the project took me about 6 weeks total to print & paint the ship and have the aquarium all set up! Printed full scale on my CraftBot XL printer with Sunlu white pla filament. After assembling the pieces I primed and painted the ship with a combination of using my airbrush and painting by hand. Once the painting was done, I sealed the model with an aquarium safe epoxy topcoat. The epoxy clear coat that I used is from Polygem Epoxy and can be found at: https://www.polygem.com/products/1618-clear-epoxy-coating After applying the epoxy clear coat I waited 48 hours for the material to harden. When I placed the model in the fish tank the ship just wanted to float right to the top. I solved this issue by weighing down the ship by burying the stand under the gravel!
I proudly present to you the "Kapitalinvestition", the new Flagship of the Morgus und co. GmbH. Which arrived just in the nick of time to help the human forces at the fight at the Mambaji plateau. Took some months to print and paint but I'm glad that it's finally finished. I printed it on an Anycubic Chiron / i3 Mega S and a Photon for the resin parts.
The "Tarsakh Dawn", a Feather Class Skycoach, pride of entrepreneur Sajon Iks'myzwosk. Printed on Elegoo Saturn.
The Gleaming Shard was a project my wife and I decided to take on that took us three straight weeks of near constant printing on three different medium sized printers. The Ender 3 Pro, The Ender 6, and the Elegoo Saturn. For the accessories, we picked out the two sets of thrusters and the grappling lines. With a beautiful main gun like that, we wanted to give it the appearance that everything was set to help align a shot. We decided to incorporate the stands into a base to give it more versatility on the tabletop, as a landing station with two freight elevators. The scene we set up shows adventurers holding off aggressors from the forest as drones complete loading supplies and loot. While making their escape, they encounter enemies that forced their way into the hold and must hold them off while the engines are fired up.
Talon Class Skycoach "Steal Panther" executing it's latest heist. The getaway was accomplished first by flying low through the local jungles. Nothing but open skies ahead! This is my first attempt at an airship. The minis are from the Skies of Sordane. The decorative items are generic set pieces. This was almost 2 months of painting. All hand painted. It was a joy to participate in this contest.
Printed and Painted by David McLeod (davidfixitmcleod@gmail.com). This is a Feather Class Skycoach painted with Game Color paints with Privateer Press metal ("Pig iron") and "Armor wash", Army Painter "True Copper" with Games Workshop "Nihilakh oxide" wash and Green Stuff World's Colorshift metal "Solar Anomalie" paint. Printed on a Anycubic Mega X (Main hull pieces PLA) and an Elegoo Mars for all the resin detail parts. It's printed at 28mm scale. The captains wheel is magnetized so a character can be placed in the command position. The wheel is a brass piece and the stand was built from plasticard and putty.
A Feather Class Skycoach brings a "legitimate" goblin businessman alongside a Cin'dar navy cruiser
Color scheme inspired by Warhammer Quest: Cursed City art.
The "Old Rusty" is an old ship that has been through it all. Transporting goods to the far reaches. Though old and rusty it is still a reliable ship to get the merchandise to where it needs to go. Who needs a strait from the factory ship when you have old reliable. The crew found that "Old Rusty" is the perfect ship for smuggling indiscreetly because of its run down look.
Orange and gold Talon class skycoach
This is the Roshan class cruiser R.C.S. Bardiche, pride of the Royal Cin'dar Navy. This Roshan cruiser was printed on several several Prusa i3 Mk3s and Prusa Mini printers in MatterHackers' Build Series PLA with several of the detail pieces printed on an Anycubic Mono in Sirayatech Fast Gray resin. This beast of a ship took approximately 1600 hours of printer time and several weeks to paint. While most of the color blocking was done with spray cans and masking tape, everything else, including all of the highlighting and detail work was painted by hand. The lettering for the name was done with a vinyl mask cut on a Cricut and some bright silver spray paint.
This is easily the biggest project I have done to date but I am so glad I took up the challenge and pushed myself to finish it because I've rekindled a creative outlet that I haven't had a chance to do for many years. I painted this beast 100% by hand (not recommended!) and filled as many of the gaps as I could. It's mostly a base coat and lots, and I mean LOTS, of dry brushing to get the wood grain and steel effects that I was going for. My 5e group is featured in many of the shots (barbarian, sorcerer, druid, rogue, unicorn) and overall I'm super proud with how it turned out! I can't wait to show it to my players soon :)
A Shoal class trade barge representing the Merchant Guilds.
A Rassen class assault frigate, fighting off the ministrations of a huge air elemental!
The captain and his crew taking a Talon class skycoach to the city.
Carren Pirates life isn't always easy: sometimes you have to fight Cloud Skates, steal some beer or assault a rich merchant. In most of the cases the big double spell cannon and hook cannon are quite helpful! I tried to give the ship a dirty and piratesque look following the color scheme of the campaign manual. Printing everything in full size on an Elegoo Mars was quite an adventure but the detail are amazing!
Rassen Assult Frigate. Printed on my Ender 3, but the doors, wheel, and magic crystal were printed on my new Elegoo Mars.
My dwarvish pirate ship is finally finished after 3 months of blood, sweat and tons of gapfilling! This was so much fun and a perfect opportunity to try out new stuff like oil paints, chipping medium, pigments etc. I tried my best to take some good pictures with my phone. I hope you like it :)
When a Sea Witch wants to fly and airship, she flies an airship. Made of sand, sea, pearls, and gold...filled with magic and wonder and the bounty of the sea.
This is the aptly named 'CopperBottom'. A ship purchased by an anonymous sponsor from a very dubious auction. The mystery man (being male is the only know information the crew have so far) hand picked each crew mate from all over the land - skills with a very specific job in mind.. No details were provided except they're now the crew of this ship and they had exactly one week to get to know each other before any job details would be provided - Presuming they hadn't all killed each other by then.. Luckily, some bonds have been made between a few crew mates, some relationships have been a little more.......rough.. One week later the CopperBottom is currently anchored in an undisclosed location, all of the crew have been collected by air courier and are currently on the way to meeting the man and finding out what exactly this job is?!.. Most crew mates have been mesmerised by the possibility of riches and wealth, others aren't so sure.. Is it a trap? Is it a one way death wish?.. They will soon find out... Build details : Printed entirely on my single Elegoo Mars using a mixture of Elegoo and Sunlu resins. Took around 4 weeks of solid printing and around 4L of resin - a big project! I've never done a build of this size and I've had real fun during the whole process (and maybe a few swears too lol) Experimented with all sorts of ideas, wish I had more time because I had plenty more.. Pinned using toothpicks, superglued and then filled all sections with milliput/wood filler. Airbrushed and hand painted using Vallejo and ArmyPainter paints. Added some extra details to the build such as internal furniture, crates, bottles of booze, light up lamps etc. Added an anchor chain using the rear mount port. Used the 3D printed version of the crystal to create a mould. This was then used to create a crystal from casting resin - one of the new things I've been learning. Thanks for looking, and if you've got this far then a double thanks!
"The Masquerade"
This Shoal, which once could be considered the crowning jewel of any merchant fleet, is showing its age through scars from a neglectful captain. With the crew of shard drones offering little company, the captain became increasingly reclusive, spending his time tinkering with the shard drones and attempting magical feats from tomes collected in faraway ports. Both the Shoal and its captain’s mind seemed to degrade alongside one another as the years went by. Long after either ship or captain were in their prime, a couple of travellers asked to hitch a ride to the next port. This being the first company the captain had taken along with him, he had vastly underestimated how attached he would become to their social interaction. He didn’t want them to leave. Of course he knew he couldn't keep them hostage, how would he have kept it a secret when crews would be on and off loading cargo at every port. Then he had an idea. What if you could put someone's “personality” inside a shard drone?! He knew the drones inside and out, and maybe there was a book somewhere that could give him some ideas on how to get things done. Although uncertain about if he could really pull it off, he most definitely would try. With all the time between ports, the only issue was whether he would run out of drones before he ran out of “personalities.” This nugget was printed in resin on a Phrozen Sonic Mini 4K in A LOT of small pieces. Huge thanks to my friend Clay for taking the photos!
The Argo
Pi'Rats!: A new race of villains is going to take to the skies, and Sordane may never be the same again. The Cin'dar navy really should have kept better track of its cruisers. The soon to be renowned Pi'rat captain Horned Drake used some modified sky coaches to sneak up in the middle of the night and take the great cruiser. Now an intrepid group of Kizara (the players I am dming for) are the only thing that stands between Sordane and this flying vermin tide. This took what is commonly know as a really long time to print and paint, but it was a lot of fun. I am still deciding what to do with the inside of the boat because I am still planning what to do for the campaign. Also included just for fun are some pictures of some Pi'Rat sky coaches. I was also painting them up for the competition, but I realized I accidently broke one of the rules by printing them smaller than 100% scale. So here there are hanging out with the Pi'Rat Roshan cruiser.
Hello TRavelers! The Feather Class Skycoach "Queen´s Gem" is manned by only two very experienced soldiers from the fighters guild. They are responsable for scouting and patroling the borders of Sordane. The airship is called "Queen´s Gem" because it has a lot of goldem details, a beatiful sky window bellow deck and it´s tripullants would do anyhting to protect their Queen. The "Queen´s Gem" is a relatively new ship and has seen a few battles with the command of the fighter´s guild.
In my world, teleportation magic is too dangerous for people to use for travel, so naturally, airships are the main source of transportation, especially since dragons and other predatory monsters have been long extinct. There is a valuable element called Andenium that would cause vessels to lift when magic is pumped into it. This ship, the Red Pearl, was going on its maiden voyage to transport spices and Andenium with a small royal crew from the kingdom of Drahan, when suddenly, a large Roc grabbed one of the knights and disappeared in the horizon. The royal crew was shocked and panicked to see this and frightened that the Roc may come back for the rest. The problem is, they have never seen or hear of such enormous bird before and they are completely unprepared for this attack.
With the time crunch and materials I had, I did my best to submit a valid entry for this competition. I started all of the prints on the 28th of May and assembled and photographed the final product right now on the 30th. During this time we had 2 power outages and thank goodness for my print recovery system. After the prints were done, I took them off of the plate and began removing the support. After doing this, I found myself with no paint. Every bit of color that you see on this Feather Class Skycoach has been colored with sharpies. I used different combinations of colors on each part. For example: I used orange as a base on the planks of the deck and then covered it with brown. I think it looks pretty sweet! I guess this (maybe) proves that even with unreasonable materials, I can still have fun submitting this!
Skycoach, printed on Prusa i3 MK3S at 0.1mm layer height with Hatchbox PLA 1.75mm filament. Airbrushed the front blue section as well as wings, spray painted the ship stand, and hand brushed the rest. Painted by (myself) Nathaniel J. Van Nicholson. Background is inside rubber mats and placed on a water scene battlemap. Smoke machine added for special effects ^^. Pictures taken and uploaded from Samsung Galaxy Note 9. Thanks!
engine has been upgraded to the chaos engine, a lost technology from an ancient race, scavenged from an ancient ruin. It can only be powered by channelling dark matter from a corrupted soradite crystal, an art that was lost with the ancient people, the last being from that race is aboard, channelling the fastest ship in sordane. While it will outrun anything, there is a risk, Channelling too much dark matter has a change to destroy the chaos engine, causing catastrophic failure, but sometimes u just gotta roll the dice
Il Pettitrosso is a fast little ship great for leisurely cruises in the sun or making a quick escape after you've been caught leisurely cruising where you shouldn't be.
Rasen Frigate by Arcane Minis printed and painted for the Airship Print and Paint competition.
I was immediately captured by the first model that i saw when i heard of the Skies of Sordane campaign on kick starter. -The Rasen Assault Class Frigate I have tried to stay as close as possible to the original art work, and i must say that it has been a real pleasure painting this. The fact that the files were so easy to print helped a lot of course
Gleaming Shard. Hand Painted
Your crew was hired on the Gleaming Shard out of Cin'dar as mercenaries to provide extra security and ensure the delivery of a package. On route to your destination via Kaydlen you are set upon by mysterious assailants. In the melee the package is broke open, you see what appears to be a young elf girl curled up inside. Both sides are desperate to retain control, what do you want to do?
I didnt really have time...
Printed on a Prusa i3 Mk2 and an Elegoo mars. I had a fantastic time painting this up, working with greenstuff to make the seams disappear, and play with some new airbrush techniques. I had a plan to Ork it up, with blue and green splatters, but I just couldn't stomach it after the base paint job.
The Pearl KURZ! The purple, gold, and pearlescent ship narrowly escaped a wildfire making its grand panting competition debut. I was inspired by wind and the swirling pattern the ship was designed with and decided to amplify them and freehand paint them into the purple body. Not to be outdone, the figurehead griffin got a special detailed paint job. I hope you all enjoy this as much as I do.
The Gleaming Shard was a fun challenge for me. The smaller piece I had to print with my elegoo mars pro. At first I was trying to go with a "Treasure Planet" theme, but then I just went with the flow. I wanted to have it look like the crew was preparing for the next adventure that the skies may bring.
This beauty is The Gilded Rose, a 5-year-old Feather Class Skycoach captained by the fearless Tabaxi Captain, Tabitha the Reckless. Her first mate is a Tortolian Cleric by the name of Mortimer who, to this day, questions his friendship with the Captain everytime she stands on the bow of the ship with her Harpoon. And this is often. He believes if not for his devout following to his Goddess, Captain Tabitha would have met an untimely death ages ago. Tabitha believes otherwise. The pilot is a Halfling Rogue Engineer named Tilda. Her size belies her determination to keep their airship afloat as they course through the Skies of Sordane looking for their next conquest.

This Sintel Light Cruiser was created by husband and wife team Matt and Erica; he printed, she painted. The bulk of the ship was printed on a Prusa i3 MK3S with Inland PLA+, and detailed sections were printed on an Anycubic Photon with Anycubic plant-based resin. Erica estimates the paint job took upwards of 200 hours of hand painting over the course of 3 months. Most photos taken with a Canon EOS Rebel T6, mini eye level photos taken with a cheap webcam.
The Gilded Lady was once the pride of the Cin’dar Navy, but she now serves a band of pirates as The Green Lady since her once-bright hull is now covered in verdigris. They have successfully stolen a number of upgrades for their ship from unwary travelers and wrecks, including a dragon cannon from a Geshtar, a boarding hook from a Rassen assault frigate, a pair of ballistae from a Roshan, and four varieties of small cannons from various ships.
Life aboard The Green Lady is an easy one, since these pirates are very good at their job. The crew (six of which are Cin’dar Navy mini models) is waited on by a staff of shard drones that keep the ship stocked, the decks clean, the engine running, and its inhabitants fed. The main crew does have to take turns on guard duty in the hold, but pass the time gambling so it isn’t really work. When a juicy target is spotted, a team of goblin cannoneers jumps into action. The goblins have a designated group sleeping and socialization area away from the main crew, who enjoy the benefits of individual bunk rooms with real beds. The captain, of course, has his own cabin on deck.

Over the many years that the Emerald Wind-dream has served in the merchant’s guild fleet, one thing was paramount above all others; making money. A few days after leaving port with a disappointingly light cargo bay, the experienced crew spots a lone blue dragon flying below them. The captain is confident that they could take the beast, his crew is experienced and battle-hardened, and to even the odds they are currently transporting a small group of adventurers between ports. Utilizing the element of surprise The Emerald Wind-dream fires upon the wyrm from above and hauls its carcass aboard. With a chorus of cheers the crew enthusiastically begins to carve up their spoils so that they may sell the rare materials within. Suddenly the skies turn dark and the clouds begin to rumble. With the thunderous beating of wings and a roar that threatens to split the heavens another blue dragon appears before them; seeking revenge for its fallen mate. As lightning pours out of its mouth the crew springs into action. Roll for initiative. This ship and the merchants guild crew members were printed entirely on a Ender 3 V2. Our D&D group is very excited to play with this ship in our Sordane campaign.
The "Rustic Roshan". Once the jewel of the Cindar Navy, she is now on her last voyage home with a skeleton crew made up of officers and shard drones. Printed with an Ender 3V2 and Anycubic Mono X. Complete and playable interiors.
A beauty of a ship, but sadly to big for my table screen. Printed in resin from the day of the official release with the Elegoo Saturn (is not in the list) the anycubic Photon and the stand on the Creality CR-6SE Painted mostly with the airbrush (first time user). Including washes and inks. Main colour going from gold on the tip to copper at the back including rust and patina. Top is green gold with brassy bronze. All woods on the outside are blue shifting colour depending on the angle of the ship. Mini's painted as far as possible on the last day. Angler dragon completly paintbrushed, other with contrast paints. To bad the sun has gone down already so no super lighting anymore.
One moment it was there, suspended in time as the harpoon struck, the next it was gone. The captain smashed the controls forward plummeting the bow downward in a gut-wrenching lurch. "Hang on!" she shouted too late, the words getting lost in the howling wind as the little vessel rapidly gained speed. The lookout leapt towards the ship's bow and strained forward, trying to catch a glimpse of their wounded prey. Droplets of crimson blood flickered past in the light of the rising moon for a brief second before misting into nothingness as the vessel ploughed ever downward. Stars suddenly appeared below the prow as they broke through a light cloud veil. "Sea Ho!" screamed the lookout, every word ripped from his lips by the wind's invisible hands. The captain yanked back on the controls, the wooden frame of the ship creaking and groaning in great protest. The first mate gripped the railing tightly, pointing her massive sword at the water as the ship levelled out. "Splashdown starboard side!" she cried, the wind's intense howling dying to a gentle wheeze. A moment later, a green glow appeared above the water's surface and the sound of wet wings slapping the water soon reached the crew. "Slyxi Angler sighted!" called the lookout. The captain angled the ship towards the noble dragon laid low, "Someone grab the rope BEFORE it sinks like last time!". Nodding in response, the first mate opened the side hatch with rope in hand. The lookout launched himself from the prow, his sword poised for the Coup de grâce. -The Final Blow The ship was printed on an Anycubic Photon printer with Elegoo water washable resin. The Base is 14" x 14" XPS foam over chipboard with the water being sculpted in air-drying clay and layered with acrylic water effects. The glowing blue effect was achieved with fluorescent paint and a blacklight.
Feather Class Skycoach for the Arcane Minis Print and Paint Competition
The Roshan Class Cruiser, printed for the Arcane Minis Print and Paint Competition, on an Anycubic Photon S and Epax E10.
My take on the Geshtar. Unfortunately I didn't have time to do the attachments and scatter, along with detailing inside. It's a really nice model that has been super fun to build and paint. Thanks you Arcane Mini's for making this.
This is my Gleaming Shard. The color scheme was originally inspired by the Dawn Treader from Chronicles of Narnia but modified to fit this ship.
This photoshoot was a lot of fun! Lots of playing with different lighting and angles
Japanese temple styled Pinnacle Luxury Yacht with a zen garden on the deck (featuring cherry blossom trees and koi fish), with painted cherry blossom trees on the rear windows. Printed on Prusa MK3S and modified Ender 3.
Hi everyone, here's my entry for the competition. My idea was a boat flying into the sunset, to create a very dynamic lighting, while still maintaining the integrity of the various materials used to build the boat. It sure was tough catching all those reflected lights and glassy surfaces, but this was a fun project! Let me know what you think! Printed on a Qidi S Box Max.
I give you the crown jewel of the fleet, The Roshan class skyshipThe Bird of Prey! I had the pleasure of helping with some of the test printing back in Mid Feb 2021, to which got me to this point on my little Ender 3 Pro for about 95% of this beautiful, the remaining bits and bobs came from my Elegoo Mars Pro. Hand panted...yes, by many brushes (I yet to own an air brush), I've spent every day painting as I go to make the deadline. She is wired from Crystal to Eagle eyes with LED's controlled by a wireless remote to control the pattern of the lights. The layers when connected magnetically complete the circuit all the way up. The aft of the ship has stained glass windows for the Captain's quarters, perfect as Captain Orly of Critical Role takes to the skies after his time with the Mighty Nein! The Bird of Prey pays tribute to my love for Star Trek as it takes to the skies and gets bombarded by other ships of Sordane. They do not stand a chance against its 28 cannons, 2 spell cannons, 2 boarding hooks and 4 ballista! I had a blast making this ship, along with the others you'll see as props in the photos! I hope to do more soon! Check out and print your own Roshan on MMF at: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-airship-roshan-class-cruiser-155085
The airships of the Shand, the City of Spires are powered via arcane and mechanical means. A wild magic storm is captured and stored in the main hold of the ship, visible here through the forward viewports. The power of this storm provides the lift for flight as well as powering the arcane turboshaft engines that provide thrust. In this scene, a gold dragonborn paladin and her elf fighter companion face off against a boarding party of undead from Sarak Duneir, the Dominion of Souls.
One of the Sky coaches and the Shard Guardian Sharpshooter and two others from the first Kickstarter. The sky coach I printed the body and the stand on the Ender 3 and the fins and the miniatures on a anycubic mono
Airbrushed with GPaint 2.0 and handpainted the details with Vallejo paints.

Started printing on the 6th of May and finished getting the ship together and primed on the 30th around mid day. Was able to paint the full ship with only one hour to spare on the 31st. Sadly as time was limited I had to make choices that would allow me to finish the ship in time. An awesome challenge and an amazing ship, glad to have taken a part in this competition
The first light of the morning, two Sordalite crystals crest the hillside as thee H.M.S. Heirophant crosses the border into the sleepy country of Arland. The Geshtar Dreadnaught! Whew what a couple of months working in this has been. Thank you to Arcane Minis for hosting such a fun competition!
The Sea Dragon The crew of this ship defend their people both in the air, and on the seas. They patrol their borders with deadly efficacy and use massive harpoons to reel in their enemies, whether they be vicious monsters, or enemy ships. I loved working on the Rassen class ship and I found the modality of the whole thing to be wonderful. I'm still working on printing out every option for the ship but included pictures of one of my favorite layouts so far. The bases of the minis were used from a thinly sliced level of the ship deck so they would match their display and still be able to stand on their own. I've been waiting for years for a good ship to use for a display like this. I also had to include a table which took quite a while to make, but felt absolutely necessary for such great quality of ships. I'm looking forward to more in the future. Thanks Arcane Minis
A rumor spreads amongst the sky captains of a ghost ship out in the great storms. A ship of aged copper and skeleton crew hunts those that would dare break through the great storms of the north. This was a blast to print and make, I can't wait for my players to stumble upon this ghost ship as they head into the wild northern skies chasing the great storm.
