Description
Rodin turned the torso of the Falling Man on The Gates of Hell into a work in its own right. It has all the power of the battered fragment of Hermes from the Parthenon. Rodin admired the subtle torsion in the body of the messenger god whose head, now missing, once looked back over his shoulder.
This was scanned at The 'Rodin and the art of ancient Greece' exhibition at The British Museum, London (26th April - 29th July 2018). The work originates from the Musée Rodin, Paris, where it is on permanent display.

Object Parts
From my Rodin collection of prints. I always wondered how sculpts would look like if painted. This started when I was told that the sculpts in the metope of Parthenon where painted and what remains today is the decoloured marble after many ages.
Some times I just try to paint, but in other cases, something provocative comes into my mind and I follow a more creative path. In any case, enjoy!
