Description
This is the aptly named 'CopperBottom'. A ship purchased by an anonymous sponsor from a very dubious auction. The mystery man (being male is the only know information the crew have so far) hand picked each crew mate from all over the land - skills with a very specific job in mind..
No details were provided except they're now the crew of this ship and they had exactly one week to get to know each other before any job details would be provided - Presuming they hadn't all killed each other by then.. Luckily, some bonds have been made between a few crew mates, some relationships have been a little more.......rough..
One week later the CopperBottom is currently anchored in an undisclosed location, all of the crew have been collected by air courier and are currently on the way to meeting the man and finding out what exactly this job is?!..
Most crew mates have been mesmerised by the possibility of riches and wealth, others aren't so sure.. Is it a trap? Is it a one way death wish?.. They will soon find out...
Build details :
Printed entirely on my single Elegoo Mars using a mixture of Elegoo and Sunlu resins. Took around 4 weeks of solid printing and around 4L of resin - a big project!
I've never done a build of this size and I've had real fun during the whole process (and maybe a few swears too lol) Experimented with all sorts of ideas, wish I had more time because I had plenty more..
Pinned using toothpicks, superglued and then filled all sections with milliput/wood filler.
Airbrushed and hand painted using Vallejo and ArmyPainter paints.
Added some extra details to the build such as internal furniture, crates, bottles of booze, light up lamps etc. Added an anchor chain using the rear mount port. Used the 3D printed version of the crystal to create a mould. This was then used to create a crystal from casting resin - one of the new things I've been learning.
Thanks for looking, and if you've got this far then a double thanks!
