Vase mode is a lot of fun already, but I'm having a blast working with designs that incorporate several different vase-mode-printed components!
Now, as with the Pinstriped Table Vase, you can simply print this clover vase on its own, without the inserts, but c'mon, print the inserts, too! It's fun! See the printing instructions below for details on how you might approach this.
The intention with this design was to allow the oblique curved stripes of colour bring out the curves of the cloverleaf vase, another case of using assembly to bring colour to a print, and ideally make it much more compelling.
Okay, so, obviously this is to be printed in vase mode/spiralize outer contour/etc style. However, you'll notice that the inserts are a bit crazy if printed in their upright orientation, as there isn't a lot of contact area with the bed. I printed them upside-down, and just set the slicer to omit the bottom layer. You could, of course, print the bottom layer solid for fun, too.
I printed this one with a 1mm nozzle, just because 1mm nozzles are super cool.
Oh, and you'll notice the model is pretty large! You can of course scale it down just fine - there's a reasonable allowance for the inserts to still fit. My photos are of a print at 50% scale.
