Belgian sculptor Jean-Joseph Jacquet also created the model of the two lions either side of the stairs to the colonnade. These two monumental lions guard the majestic staircase to the front. This lion symbolizes the 'downturn' trend of the stock market. The are namely the Belgian version of the famous 'Bears and Bulls' analogy.
