I started making Napoleon in 3D studio, and finished in zbrush.
I sculpted the arms and neck armor details, then did a retopology in the arms and the neck in 3d studio max.
I then merged all the parts together and posed the model in 3d studio max. The helmet was was supposed to look more futuristic ended up looking quite steampunk-y!
The helmet was put together in max a simple shape similar to a box made it look more triangular. Using 4 cylinders as eyes, when i was happy with the look I finally imported the model back to zbrush and started editing some of the details like the buttons and the folds in his clothing. The sword was all designed in 3D Studio Max.
I printed this one on the B9Creator but it works great on FDM machines as well!
