Description
This statue is a combination of two different Roman copies, the head and body were put together in the 18th century. It shows Apollo, the Greek god of the arts, light and knowledge, in the Lykeios type - with the right forearm resting on top of his head. The model was either an original created around 340 BC, or a Helenistic remodelling from around 150 BC.
