This little TIE fighter was a fun diversion to see if I could find a way to model such a thing so that it could be printed in one piece, without support. After a few different approaches, I settled on printing it sideways, and angling the wing struts inwards a little, then finding a balance between printability and the overall look of the thing.
Now, while I wouldn't use grand terms like "torture test", you'll want to have things reasonably well dialled-in, mostly to handle the overhang, which is about a 70 degree angle to vertical. I found that slowing the feed rate right down made a huge difference.
The Little TIE Fighter is meant to be cute, so see how small you can scale it!
No support required, but get your part cooler switched on, and slow things right down to handle that overhang!
